To create this and other Harvard Management Update articles, I did the following:
- Used an online query service and personal contacts to track down management professors, consultants, and executives who could offer insights on the article theme.
- Conducted phone interviews with all potential sources.
- Gathered additional information from printed resources, such as business journals and magazines, company Web sites, and third-party sources.
- Drafted article.
- Suggested graphics.
- Reviewed and approved suggested edits from client.
